| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description With nearly one out of every three internet users making on-line purchases, e-commerce site designers must tread a fine line between utility and aesthetic. Pull-down menus, back-end databases, secure servers, limited bandwidth, and brand marketing all must be taken into account while developing a visually pleasing, easy-to-use website. WebWorks: e-Commerce explores and illuminates the balancing act e-commerce designers face when working with often-restrictive technology in a highly competitive marketplace.

Awesome, no-nonsense design for the real world. September 11, 2003 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I picked up this book on a fluke, and have been really surprised by it - its great!!"Webworks: e-Commerce" covers the "drier" side of design, you know, the side that we all actually have to do in our daily jobs to earn a living. 30 websites cover a wide range of usability solutions for e-commerce sites, with a heavy emphasis on retail, and form design. Items for sale, lists of links, and the display of financial data are all covered. For the most part, each site is chosen to highlight a specific feature, but all are loaded with common sense usable design solutions. I refer to this book as much as I refer to my "Graphis Interactive Design Annuals," as a real resources for real design solutions.
