5 out of 5 stars Make a Fortune is Worth Spending For   September 9, 2008
I am a newbie to online marketing--especially affiliate marketing. If, like me, you want to understand the "how to's", buy this book. It is a very easy read. And, perhaps more importantly, it recommends numerous websites that provide additional resources to investigate. These resources force you to think and dive deep in to the subject matter as you search the web. By the time you have finished exploring these referencing you will know more about affiliate marketing than you could have imagined. Ms. Garner succeeds in teaching what could be a very technical subject, in a very layperson way. I recommend it to any newbie who wants to see how you can make money through e-commerce.

2 out of 5 stars Brief Overview and Outdated!   August 31, 2008

This reminds me of the "Dummy" books which usually start off with super basics on a subject. This is the same type of concept.

It talks about selling stuff as an affiliate. The concepts covered are being used by so many internet marketers (and have been for years) that you can't make money doing them anymore, making this book outdated.

For example, the book talks about the "review style" website where you review several like products then provide a link to each product. If someone buys through your affiliate link then you get paid a commission. Nothing cutting edge there.

Pass on this book unless you are a total newbie and know nothing about internet or affiliate marketing.

5 out of 5 stars Make a Fortune Promoting Other People's Stuff Online   August 27, 2008
Rosalind Gardner is an expert in her field and teaches by, not only showing us the pitfalls of the Affiliate Business, but by showing us what has been successful, what works. If you want a primer that will teach you the ins and outs...the ropes...this will bring you up to speed. The resource portion at the end is worth its weight in gold.

1 out of 5 stars Disappointed   July 26, 2008

After purchasing & reviewing this book I was a little surprised by the high star rating it received. I was more than disappointed. As a "newbie" with basic computer skills, I was lost by page 7.

5 out of 5 stars Very, very informative   June 20, 2008
The information I obtained from the book has been very helpful in seeing a more clear way of what the affiliate business is all about. The author of the book is very knowledgeable in the affiliate business, specially in the start up face of the business.
