Product Description
SECRETS OF THE MILLIONAIRE MIND reveals the missing link between wanting success and achieving it!

Have you ever wondered why some people seem to get rich easily, while others are destined for a life of financial struggle? Is the difference found in their education, intelligence, skills, timing, work habits, contacts, luck, or their choice of jobs, businesses, or investments?

The shocking answer is: None of the above!

In his groundbreaking SECRETS OF THE MILLIONAIRE MIND, T. Harv Eker states: "Give me five minutes, and I can predict your financial future for the rest of your life!" Eker does this by identifying your "money and success blueprint." We all have a personal money blueprint ingrained in our subconscious minds, and it is this blueprint, more than anything, that will determine our financial lives. You can know everything about marketing, sales, negotiations, stocks, real estate, and the world of finance, but if your money blueprint is not set for a high level of success, you will never have a lot of money -- and if somehow you do, you will most likely lose it! The good news is that now you can actually reset your money blueprint to create natural and automatic success.

SECRETS OF THE MILLIONAIRE MIND is two books in one. Part I explains how your money blueprint works. Through Eker's rare combination of street smarts, humor, and heart, you will learn how your childhood influences have shaped your financial destiny. You will also learn how to identify your own money blueprint and "revise" it to not only create success but, more important, to keep and continually grow it.

In Part II you will be introduced to seventeen "Wealth Files," which describe exactly how rich people think and act differently than most poor and middle-class people. Each Wealth File includes action steps for you to practice in the real world in order to dramatically increase your income and accumulate wealth.

If you are not doing as well financially as you would like, you will have to change your money blueprint. Unfortunately your current money blueprint will tend to stay with you for the rest of your life, unless you identify and revise it, and that's exactly what you will do with the help of this extraordinary book. According to T. Harv Eker, it's simple. If you think like rich people think and do what rich people do, chances are you'll get rich too!

5 out of 5 stars Harv has some really good ideas   January 7, 2009
This book has some really good ideas and if your goal is to become wealthy, this book is a good read.

2 out of 5 stars Good advice mixed with Marketing 101   December 26, 2008
This book has some good concepts to get you thinking however it also contains many negative attributes. The author goes through lengthy, wordy, and poorly written examples to teach the difference between them [the millionaires] and you. He makes many statements but cites no references to back them up leaving you feeling as though they're an opinion. It seems that he starts each new lessen with "at the millionaire mind intensive seminar i teach..." which gets VERY old. As the book's end nears he pushes his seminar and book even more. He encourages you to tell 100 people about the book including friends, family, and acquaintances. He then tells you that you must sign up for his seminar and any reason you can think not to sign up is only an excuse. He uses the lessons taught earlier in the book to rationalize why your track to becoming a millionaire is not complete without his seminar. At this point you feel like the entire book was ramping up just to sell you his seminars. I would not recommend this book to anyone nor will I let anyone borrow it . If you want inspiration, Rich dad poor dad was a much, much better book.

My advice is to borrow or check this book out at a library if you are so set on reading it. Otherwise, you could nearly gleen everything this book has to say by reading some of the top rated reviews.

4 out of 5 stars A 19th-Century Idea Repackaged for the New Age   December 17, 2008
This book is an outgrowth of the nineteenth-century science of mind idea that thoughts are things: "What mind can conceive, man can achieve." This is now known as the law of attraction (like attracts like). Control your thoughts to control your destiny. This book should appeal to those who believe in the law of attraction who are comfortable with prayer and affirmations who wish to improve their finances and overcome negative or counterproductive programming or conditioning surrounding money. The author says that only poor people say that money is not important. Money is very important, he argues, in all the areas in which money applies, although completely unimportant in the areas in which it does not apply; to say that love is more important may be true, but it is irrelevant!

Start by identifying your financial tapes: the programming absorbed from your parents. These set your "financial thermostat" to a certain income level. To increase your income and your net worth, you need to reset your financial thermostat. To do this, you must stop identifying with old tapes (sour grapes of the have-nots, derogatory attitudes about rich people, etc.), which keep you from feeling good about doing better financially. Many of our unconscious financial tapes do not serve us. Learn to reprogram yourself to be wired for success and prosperity. The author supplies affirmations for prosperity consciousness and techniques: stand in front of a mirror, hold your hand over your heart, and say the affirmation out loud, then touch your forehead with your index finger and say, "I have millionaire mind."

The author, in addition to his pop psychology about prosperity consciousness (which he calls "millionaire mind") provides pop sociology concerning how rich people think, how middle-class people think, and how poor people think. These general, broad-brush characterizations seem accurate: middle-class people focus on income, for instance; rich people focus on net worth. Poor people think of the short term; rich people think of the long term. Middle-class people value security; rich people value freedom. Poor people want to survive. Middle-class people want to be comfortable. Rich people want financial freedom, wealth, and abundance, and they are willing to make sacrifices to achieve their goals. (Poor people only want to be rich or dream about it, but they are not willing to do whatever it takes to achieve that goal.) This should be familiar to the student of intellectual history from early twentieth-century popular writers who asked, "Do you sincerely wish to be rich?" These ideas are not new, just repackaged (quite profitably).

People's reaction to this book will be governed by their receptivity to (or resistance to) self-help books, pop psychology, motivational speakers and ideas, and New Age presentations of the law of attraction. The people who are looking for a book about types of investments and how to invest their money will be disappointed; to them, this book may seem like superficial pop-psychological nonsense.

2 out of 5 stars We have just contributed to him getting rich   November 8, 2008

After reading a couple pages of this book I realized I made a mistake and this guy wasn't the real deal...
More and more I read through it I realized he is just trying to milk the self motivation business and come out with a book to generate some cash, and advertise his seminars like every few pages! Talk about over kill!
To sum up his book can be done in a couple sentences!
1: surround yourself my millionaires and hopefully some of their energy will brush off on you...
2: only you can make your dreams come true!
3: change your frame of mind to think rich...

Wow! Took 200 pages to tell us that...

I think this book just shows how he has been milking this business.
He goes around the country and gives speeches to people who are weak and desperate for change! He has found a niche market which pays him money!
He comes out with books, and tries to relate with stories of hardship etc... But frankly he really doesn't have a clue! the prices he charges just goes to show you he is ONLY OUT TO MAKE MONEY! the way he makes it is off peoples hopes! I'd rather give my money to Deepak Chopra than this guy!
He is marketing himself throughout the book so that's very ugly at times also...
The book goes on and on and on about nothing, he repeats himself over and over again! The book is nothing more than a business venture for the author to make some more money!
Smart move on to generate more wealth, but unfortunately the book is full of hopes and dreams, but doesn't give anyone any advice on how to generate wealth!
I felt the author wanted to jump into this market so he needed a book!
He came up with a premise of mindsets! Frankly speaking false hope.
Pass on this book if you have already read a self-help book, because this book just regurgitates the same as every other book...
"You have to make it happen, you can do it! The power is within you blar blar blar"

If you are looking at a book to help generate wealth and help with investing money, look elsewhere...
