4 out of 5 stars Solid Information   December 21, 2008

The title of this book makes it look like another BS get rich quick book. But not so. There is a lot of solid advice here, and many ideas.

I wouldn't take every word as Bible, but it has definitely stimulated my thinking.

4 out of 5 stars Great fundamental reading   December 16, 2008

I read this book as Timothy Ferris referred to it as recommended in his book. I can now see how The Four Hour Work Week utilised many of the strategies in this book. I own and run a factoring company and am constantly referring to this book in order to make sure our marketing efforts are aligned correctly. At the back of the book it has a very good overview of the strategies that you should be implementing in your business. Yes thebook is very selly in terms of referring you to other resources but it is worth its weight in gold! As it was written back in the 90s it could do with an update.

4 out of 5 stars A Pandora Box of Possibilities, Although Out-Dated. NOT a How-To Guide, but still woth the read.   November 23, 2008

This book is a Pandora Box that opens up an inspiring world of private labels, informational products, and license systems to transform your ideas into reality. Dan Kennedy is the marketing king who has helped thousands make 7-figure incomes on a part-time, residual model.

This book was written in 1996. Use the information as idea-generators and inspiration, rather than strict how-to guides.

4 out of 5 stars A Wise Investment   September 9, 2008
I enjoyed reading this. I read a lot of business books but I only highlight and mark the really good ones. I've filled this book with post-its and highlights. Dan Kennedy has great ideas that I think are very implementable. It does lean heavily towards the Direct Marketing business and I personally think it needs an update that reflects the current 2.0 world that we live in. But nonetheless, I've walked away with numerous ideas about how to turn my ideas into cash.

3 out of 5 stars Short on Real Ideas   August 29, 2008

The millions to be made are with Infomercials and Home Shopping Network as the book elicits, which are out of reach of most entrepenuers, unless of course you "sell" your idea to Guthy Renker, Dan Kennedy or others for 2% of the profit. Not exactly a path to financial freedom. It is still a decent read to assist you in developing a direction on how to promote your product and discover your marketing avenue of choice. If you are looking for current product and service ideas to make your millions, this is not a book for you. He should do a 2008 version for todays entrepenuers. i.e. He wasn't sure when he wrote the book, if the Internet was a passing fad or not.
