5 out of 5 stars Buy it   January 8, 2009
This is a great book. I must have about 50 interior design books and this is in my top 5. I love the bold colors, and the use of surprising elements.

5 out of 5 stars Domino is my favorite!   December 30, 2008

5 out of 5 stars Great inspiration & guidance to decorating your home   December 24, 2008
I love this book for various reasons:

1) Well structured - starts off with a "how to get started", followed by one chapter for each key room in the house, concludes with guides on resources
2) Each section boils down certain aspect to general terms that are very helpful with your own designs (e.g. shapes of sofas)
3) Great photos
4) Different styles covered in each section

I disagree with a previous reviewer who states that this is only for young people in their 20's - it may not be a book for someone who likes very traditional designs but I would not put any age restriction on it. If you like to have a bit of fun with your designs you will like this book.

One thing I want to make sure that you understand before you buy this book - this is not a shopping guide that gives you details on where to buy particular pieces which you might expect when you are a subscriber to Domino magazine. So you get ideas from this book but will have to do your own research where to find the pieces that fit your budget (which is half of the fun of it - don't you think!)

This book will get your creative juices flowing and if that is what you are looking for, I highly recommend it as a staple for your own library and as a go-to-gift.

5 out of 5 stars Dynamite!!!   December 23, 2008
I've seen this magazine a few times and have picked it up as often, so I was thrilled to see that it was available as a Vine product. I live in a huge apartment and I live alone so I was stumped for decorating ideas that really showcased who I was and what I cared about.

This book has it all - ideas for those on a budget to those who can spend whatever and when they want, and you will never run out of ideas, only time!

I highly recommend this book for amateurs AND professionals looking to be even more creative with clients and even themselves.

Five stars!
