 nice but not perfect November 25, 2008
I concur with all other reviews except for one thing: the lip that holds the laptop edge is not as secure as I thought, my HP has an angled edge so it can easily slip off at 40 or 50 degrees. Also, don't expect to type on the laptop keyboard as it wobbles.
Positive: Beautiful design, portable, quick set up.
Negative: Not secure at higher angles for certain laptops, wobbly if you type on laptop keyboard

I concur with the other reviewers' opinions of this product. The stand is extremely lightweight yet durable. It is customizable, meaning that the elevation of your laptop can be easily adjusted to your preference. Best yet, the design is so simple and effective, it is pure genius. No moving parts or hinges!!
I am a student with a very heavy book bag. Believe me -- I DON'T want to schlep more weight around than necessary. That said -- this stand is light and collapsible to a flat dimension that is easily portable in my back pack.
Functional, Elegant and Portable! October 11, 2008
Recently I saw a review of the Irizer in Mac Life and decided to give it a try. My wife's laptop riser which was hinged, had broken, and I was looking for something better for my own use.
After finding the Irizer on Amazon, and with what I think is a reasonable price, I ordered two on the spot.
What I like about the Irizer stand is that it is two pieces of thick plastic and designed not to scratch your table top, while securely holding your laptop at one of four angles. One of the pieces has four slots, allowing four different elevation angles when you insert the second piece of the Irizer.
The plastic is thick and there are no hinges to break, and the product is very lightweight, which is great for traveling.
For traveling, the Irizer just slips apart and it takes up about as much room in my laptop bag as a couple of magazines.
The product supports my laptop which is a 17" Apple PowerBook, and works well with my wife's smaller HP laptop.
This is an extremely well designed product and should last through several more laptops. I look forward to seeing more fine products by the company.

I am happy with this product and would recommend it to others, it packs very flat and works great.
