5 out of 5 stars Works great with Alltel UTStarcom UM150   September 5, 2008
Downloaded the new firmware from cradlepoint.com. Plugged in the power cord and ethernet. Easily updated the firmware. Popped the UM150 into the USB port and was surfing in minutes. Another couple of minutes and I had my laptop hooked up to the wifi too. Easy to use. Quick to setup. The best way to share an EVDO signal. If I ever find another decent provider in the sticks, it can even combine/share multiple connections. Gotta love it. Make sure you update the firmware though - a friend who didn't was frustrated with packet shaping settings that came stock. The new firmware fixes this.

5 out of 5 stars greatest evdo router   August 25, 2008
This is the best thing since the invention of the evdo card. Easy setup, easy to use and looks great on your desk. This router works with my v740 air card and usb720. Just plug and play. If you want to buy this use new west. These guys are great and will offer you tech support. The Craddlepoint web site lacks some real time tech support but if you email them they will get back to you in a minimal amount of time. Firm ware updates are easy but if you don't back up your settings before firm ware update the router resets back to factory settings. If you have a air card this is a definite buy. Remember the New West guys they are great. For you mac users this router works great and no issues with apple computers. I use a Macbook pro 17" early 2008. So if you are concerned it's not mac compatible no worries. I looked and looked for issues none found. This is a buy.

2 out of 5 stars Cradlepoint MBR1000   August 16, 2008

The initial setup is very simple.Product works OK.It has a few "Quirks" that can be easily worked around or with tech support easily resolved. I am not really that please with it for the price !!!Other than needing it for EVDO device it is over rated. You can configure your own EDVO device to work without this device however this does give a bit more security. The WORST thing about this is that the antannae are not detachable and can easily break off and the range and signal are NOT that good at all !!!. I would suggest waiting for them to upgrade it to a better model and with detachable antannae and definitely lowering the price !!! Sprint is coming out with their own EDVO mobile router...hmmm sure hope they or others will work better and you get the satisfaction of what you paid for.

5 out of 5 stars Perfect! Great signal coverage!   August 11, 2008
Perfect! I just plugged it in, plugged in my USB cell modem (Alltel UM-150), followed the startup instructions and had a wireless network in 10 minutes. Signal covers the entire 2500 sq. ft. house, upstairs and down, which is amazing because our floor plan is not open, (I think it was a "stealth" house plan designed to frustrate people like me who use wireless everything). There are lots of options for expanding the network. I like the internet driven setup pages. I had trouble with a laptop connecting (the issue was with the laptop's wireless card, not the router), but I was able to connect with the included network cable and solved the wireless connection problem. Nice Unit!

5 out of 5 stars Works great with Sprint BroadBand Card!   June 25, 2008

I bought this to use with my sprint broadband card, to make my 2 laptops and 1 desktop wireless.

I am a technophobe, and was worried about getting this to work for me. It was so easy to set up,even i couldn't mess it up.
It is as fast as what i have at home, and i love it!
The best is that i can easily move it to another office, and set it up when i need to.
